When I got the call a few days ago that my friend had her baby girl, Laura Ann, I was so ecstatic. I was so overwhelmed that I had to grab my inhaler as I saw all the choices. You only buy gifts once for the new baby. So, I pulled out my charge card as if it were Christmas. I began by purchasing an engraved picture frame, a cute little bank with her name on it, and a keepsake quilt with her name embroidered on it. Not only did I buy great gifts that showed how much I cared, but I also found great ideas for gifts for the future. It gave me some ideas for gifts for her for baptism, birthdays, and Christmas. Some other unique gifts that I wanted to remember for the future were a personalized toy box and a hand-painted rocking chair.
You can take that extra step – or two by giving that personalized baby gift! It shows that you really care about the birth of the new infant and the family also. Buying gifts for the newborn should be fun and exciting, since it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
