The tasks of a celebrity assistant are varied, but any girl who desires to be one must be organized. Celebrity assistants take care of a home, screen phone calls and messages, run errands like grocery shopping, schedule appointments, and coordinate transportation and travel arrangements, among other things. A CA has to be able and willing to do those everyday responsibilities that the average woman does for herself but the celebrity can’t get to. To get the job you are interested in, you must network. Try working for a public relations firm, a talent agency or a celebrity’s manager, lawyer, accountant or production company. The most important quality of a CA is for her to be discreet and someone a celebrity can trust because they learn all about the celebrity’s daily life, including personal secrets.
