The blissful excitement is building up as each day draws closer to your due date. You still have to pinch yourself every so often to convince yourself that you are going to be a mother, a caregiver to a child for the rest of it’s life. How wonderful and utterly noble a thing to be able to do. With all the hopes and dreams for yourself and baby, you might have forgotten about some items still on your list.

You are supposedly going to breast feed your child and again it is the best thing a mother could do, but you might not be in a position to feed baby on demand. Here is a very handy gadget you can get, it’s a double electric breast pump which will quickly and sufficiently help you to express your milk.

You can express enough milk to freeze in case of emergencies where you are not able to breast feed. Or you could express if you have too much and donate it to an orphanage in your town. If you are unfortunate that you don’t have enough milk to feed baby, the pump will help you to produce milk if you stick to an hourly routine every day.

Another good use for a pump such as this, is it will help you to actually produce milk if you are struggling to get any out. You can continue feeding baby with other milk products while you do your hourly regime on the pump. It will quickly induce lactation which will allow you to get your own milk into your baby fast.

It is also important to consider how you will bath your baby. In Europe they bath them sitting upright by supporting them all the time. The argument is that babies worldwide, do not like to be taken from their warm beds and blankets as they identify this with their mother’s womb. The separation is upsetting to them and that is why the scream non stop. They also are cold and do not like being held horizontally while being splashed with water.

The solution is to get a spa baby tub for yours. It is safe and you will be amazed how easily baby accepts his bath time. You see while the baby feels the warm water around it, he thinks he is still in the womb and instantly calms down. This will help you to cope better as well and will love bath time just as much as baby does.

Of course bed time is important for baby’s development and you need to plan ahead how he will sleep and on what. Today there are an array of different styles and shapes and colors to choose from. Your baby bed will be a crib at first, which will convert into a daybed and a full sized bed for youngsters because they are economical and you don’t have to worry about sleeping arrangements in a while.

Baby Gifts to Commemorate Baby’s Arrival

A blissful event for the entire family, the birth of a new baby is a time to celebrate. The prospect of bringing new life into the world is both triumphant and daunting. A new baby means lifestyle changes and new expenses. One way to defray these costs is receiving baby gifts from family and friends. You can help the soon to be parents with memorable and practical baby gifts for the baby’s impending arrival.

First, check to see if the parents have created a baby gifts registry. The registry is the parents’ wish list for the baby and tells you exactly what they need. Another benefit of the baby gifts registry is that it lets you know what other friends of the couple have already bought so that you don’t duplicate presents. Additionally, if the parents change their mind later or discover that the product is defective, it is easier to return or exchange baby gifts purchased from a registry.

Not all the parents have the time to create a baby gifts registry and some just may not know how. The good news is even parents who don’t have a baby gifts registry still need all of the basic baby supplies like pampers, bottles, washcloths and baby towels. New parents can never have too many blankets, pacifiers, t-shirts, and pajamas. An arsenal of necessary everyday items like combs, brushes, manicure sets, laundry detergent, and bath toys are all good baby gifts.

If you are very close to the expectant parents, nursery furniture is a great baby gift. Alleviate some of the new parents’ expenses by purchasing the crib, changing table, or dresser. To keep your own costs down, look for furniture depot stores, sales at major department stores, or use a lay-a-way program so that you can make monthly payments.

Couples who already have children probably already own cribs, high chairs, and strollers. Make the birth of this new child memorable by purchasing sentimental baby gifts. Consider buying a present that can be used as a keepsake for years to come. Baby gifts like silver picture frames engraved with baby’s name and birth date will provide a tangible reminder of the great day.

Looking for baby gifts but low on funds? Volunteer your expert services. Provide free babysitting for the new services or offer to help with household chores like laundry. Give parents the gift of rest and relaxation and the memory of your kindness will last a lifetime.

Personalized gift baskets are unique baby gifts. Help the new parents go green by putting natural detergents and cleaning products in to the basket. Include a gift card for lead-free paint and organic sheets to help reduce baby’s carbon footprint.

Don’t forget the diaper bag. Stylish diaper bags make great baby gifts for a fashionable mom. Instead of pink and blue, consider neutral colors in leather or suede.
